Cena Nera
The case
A Roman dynasty gathers to divide an estate over a long dinner, and the head of the family never reaches the last course. The table must decide which relative had the most to gain from silence.
How the experience works
- 01
Arrive and take your seat
You are received at a private or semi-private venue in Rome and given your place at the table.
- 02
The evening begins
Performers open the story between the first courses, and the table starts asking questions.
- 03
Question the room
Between courses you interview characters, compare notes and follow the contradictions.
- 04
Name the culprit
Before the last course, the table makes its accusation and the truth is played out live.

Questions
What guests say

Brilliant, but it's a real three and a half hours and it doesn't rush. If you've got people who fade early, warn them. We had one guest leave before the reveal and she was gutted the next day. Everything else was seamless, right down to the dietary stuff being handled without me asking twice.
I had it wrong. My wife had it wrong. One of our friends called it in the first half hour and spent two courses being told she was being ridiculous. The staging in the room — the lighting, the moment they kill the music — is done by people who know what they're doing.
I was booking this from abroad for a group flying in, which usually means chaos. It was not chaos. The venue, the timings and the seating plan were confirmed in writing before I paid anything, and the producer answered on a Sunday.
