The Patron's Table
The case
A Florentine family dines to decide the fate of a collection built on borrowed money. The banker at the table does not live to call in the loan.

Questions
What guests say
3 guest reviews · Florence
Three of them, in and out of the room between courses, and not one moment of am-dram cringe. The woman playing the widow was extraordinary — she took a stupid question from my brother-in-law and turned it into the clue that cracked the whole thing. Food was better than I expected too.
Half the guests were my partner's colleagues and I was bracing for the usual polite silence. Twenty minutes in, everyone was accusing everyone. The structure does the social work for you, which is exactly what I was paying for.
Brilliant, but it's a real three and a half hours and it doesn't rush. If you've got people who fade early, warn them. We had one guest leave before the reveal and she was gutted the next day. Everything else was seamless, right down to the dietary stuff being handled without me asking twice.
