A fictional Edinburgh firm is losing tenders it should win. Teams work the closes and the Grassmarket, exchange evidence and reach one verdict.
How the experience works

Weather policy
The mission runs in most weather. Dress for the evening and wear comfortable shoes. If conditions become unsafe, we move you to the next available time or refund in full.
Accessibility

Safety and practical information
You are never asked to enter traffic, private property or unsafe places. Your Game Master stays with the group. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a charged phone for group contact.

We had a team split across three countries. They ran it in English with two hosts able to switch, and the printed material came in both languages. Small detail, big difference to the people who'd have otherwise stayed quiet.
Which is the highest compliment I can give it. Thirty-two people, five teams, everyone out in the city rather than in a hotel function room. The quieter members of my team ended up leading, because the puzzles need people who notice things rather than people who talk loudest.
We ran it for sixty-eight at a conference and my expectations were low. Multiple hosts, staggered starts, everyone converging on the same finish. The debrief at the end was short and actually landed — they tie it back to how the teams worked, not to a slide deck.
