I was worried a bigger group would mean half of us standing around. They split us into two teams with a host each and we crossed paths twice, which turned into a bit of a race. Organising was easy — one email, they came back with everything confirmed in writing.
I booked it thinking it would be a walking tour with a gimmick. It absolutely was not. Our host stayed in it the whole way, never broke, and kept nudging the slower ones of us without ever making it obvious. By the last clue the four of us were arguing in the street like we actually cared who did it. We did care.
We've lived here for years and it still took us down two streets I'd never walked. The case file is a proper physical thing — folded paper, photographs, a train ticket — and you get weirdly protective of it. Small thing: bring shoes you can walk in. Nobody tells you that.
