Operation Øresund

The case

A fictional Copenhagen company has a supplier passing information across the strait. Teams work the harbour and the old town and name the channel together.

How the experience works

  1. 01

    Briefing

Your group is received together in Copenhagen, split into teams and briefed on the objective.

  2. 02

    Teams take the city

Each team works a different part of the route and holds information the others need.

  3. 03

    Negotiate and combine

Teams meet, trade what they hold and decide what the group is prepared to conclude.

  4. 04

    Debrief

The case closes with a live finale and an optional facilitated debrief on how the group worked.

Handled our size without it feeling like a cattle drive
We ran it for sixty-eight at a conference and my expectations were low. Multiple hosts, staggered starts, everyone converging on the same finish. The debrief at the end was short and actually landed — they tie it back to how the teams worked, not to a slide deck.

Good, and I'd change one thing
Excellent facilitation and the route was well judged for a mixed-ability group. I'd ask for a slightly longer briefing next time — we started a touch cold. Worth saying they let us fold in two of our own company in-jokes as clues, which people loved.

The procurement side was painless
Invoice, insurance, risk assessment, accessible route options — all supplied without me chasing. As someone who organises these things for a living, that mattered as much as the experience itself. The experience, for the record, got the best feedback scores of anything we ran last year.
